DAY 1:
the plane there is nuts... i m the onli singaporean ...all burmese besides an old ang moh uncle n a filipino middle age lady..reached Yangon still the same! the whole city no tourist! n all the locals looked at me as if i m some sort of weirdo..
here haf a ridiculous amount of choices for internet... generator-powered, normal electricity, slow, fast, censored n non-censored... u do the permutations ... i used the slow, normal powered n censored one... incredible! every min i haf to refresh n the guy in charge haf to change my ip address soooo many times in order to access my hotmail...in the end still failed..
todae the hotel guy told me i will need to walk 45mins to Shawadagon pagoda n it's betta to take a cab... i tink mayb he wanted to earn commission juz like those cheater viets so i insisted on walking...n indeed that guy was lying!!! i walked for 1 hr still haven reach the first check pt! i walk until a lane whereby there is no one. no ang moh, no local, only 1 big KTV which i assume it's a brothel coz the signs n everything are in english n no burmese... den lucky a cab came along n even wif teh cab it took abt 15 mins... heng i no determined enuff to walk all the way...
my hotel has satellite tv...i tried to watch some shows but found out that by ''SATELLITE TV'' , it means CHANNELNEWSASIA.
the telephone store(they haf no hps, so it's the onli place they can call)DAY 2:
my flight to Heho, Inle lake was delayed by 3 hrs! OMG! so it's dark when i get there n so the cab drivers tried to tock me like a Robert Goh... they demanded 23 USD for the 1 hr drive to the city n once again there is no tourist so bo bian...
before the trip i tried to tell myself nt to ask political stuff coz there are many spies ard but end up i still speak up my mind to the driver n ask him abt the demonstrations.. he told me nt to tok to too many ppl abt this coz it might get me jailed... but in the end he told me wat he knew...
he said that the demo is not onli in Yangon but also many many other states(they call it divisions) like Bagan n Mandalay n in all abt 20,000 ppl are killed or jailed... 20,000!! WTF, the reports given by the govt is abt 40 ppl! i told him tat n he said he saw it on satellite tv tat it's 40 ppl but it's nt true coz in his village alone, he know abt 10 ppl who disappear after the demos.. he also said tat now the monasteries are useless coz the main elder monks are all killed or jailed n now the abbots of the monasteries are either spies or young ignorant kids.. he doesnt seemed to be lying as his eyes are filled wif tears as he said all those things n i too cant help but to feel sad...
the whole town is in darkness again...no electrical supply..cant make calls or use net..seems like a caveman!
tml i m going on a boat trip wif Sabrina ,from Munich and Renaud (pronounced as lu no in french),from Geneva...they are a realli cool couple whom i chat wif during dinner

todae was awesome!.. there are no tourist in the lake..it's like we owned the whole lake... the view is simply breathtaking!
the boat brought us to the southern most of the lake which has juz opened up to tourists after the rebels had peace treaty wif the govt.. the people seemed sooo thrilled to see us!! i went to chat up wif a few of them..they are simply sooo nice and keep asking qns abt spore n aussie... i even tried some of their tradition herbs which taste like SHIT! and i juz spit out right in front of them...hahaha... but instead of being angry they juz laugh n laugh... den more n more ppl crowd ard me like i m some superstar
chat wif this Dutch who is the best friend of the sister of the hotel ... he is damn funny! he lives in Amsterdam, the europe's city of sin!... he keeps telling me abt the sex , the cocaine, the weed he did in there... it's pretty interesting to hear abt brothel boats n boat ''cafe'' ard..
